Named after the popular London recreation spot, Cremorne Gardens, Sydney’s Cremorne Point is just 6 kilometers away from the central business district. Situated between Shell Cove and Mosman Bay, Cremorne Point is a bayside community on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
Originally named “Wulwarrajeung” by the Aborigines, Cremorne Point has numerous rock engravings and rock middens. By ferry, Cremorne Point is only 8 minutes away from Sydney’s CBD. This ride provides visitors a scenic view of one of the most beautiful bays in the world.

Although Cremorne Point is mainly a private residential spot for the well

to-do, the beach area nearest to the shore remains public and can be enjoyed by locals as well as tourists. Cremorne Reserve, which encompasses Cremorne Point from end to end, was developed by the National Sydney Council in cooperation with the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning Greenspace Program. The Cremorne Reserve is a walking tour that allows visitors a chance to observe Cremorne Point’s rich environment and interesting history.
